Theft of Motor Vehicle - Chiltern Park Avenue

Dear Resident

Between the material time of 2300hrs on Wednesday the 18th of July to Thursday the 19th of July the victims bike a YAMAHA NXC 125

had been stollen, the offender(s) gained access to the bike by going through the back gate before heading of in an unknown direction.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
